WCAS recognizes and acknowledges the Qayqayt First Nation, as well as all Coast Salish peoples, on whose traditional and unceded territories we live, we learn, we play and we do our work.

Mission Statement

 

Westminster Children’s After School Society (WCAS), a non-profit society, envisions New Westminster as a community in which safe, quality, affordable childcare is available to all families. WCAS operates in a cooperative, mutually respectful atmosphere with the families, trustees, staff and administration of the schools which are WCAS’s primary base of operations. WCAS is a provider of and advocate for childcare; a strong voice for allocation of space and funding for childcare; and actively works together with community partners.

All WCAS facilities and are open daily from 7-9am and 2-6pm during the school year.

 

We are open from 7am-6pm during all professional days, winter break, spring break and summer holidays.

Purpose

Our OUT OF SCHOOL CARE PROGRAMS provide a SAFE, WARM ENVIRONMENT that seeks to meet the needs of ALL CHILDREN, AGED 5-12. Our centres are inclusive and promote self-confidence and responsibility with creative choices for each child, supervised at an age-appropriate level.

WCAS offers YEAR ROUND, AFFORDABLE, QUALITY OUT OF SCHOOL CARE for children 5-12 years of age. All of our centres are fully licensed, providing exceptional childcare Programming. Delivered by qualified & committed staff.

Children have the opportunity to EXPERIENCE A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES that are both fun and stimulating like: Art and Crafts, Clubs, Park Play, Bowling, Board and Table Top Games, Picnics, Movies, Themes days, Game Leagues, Winter and Summer Sports and more!
